TEFL Summer 2021 Webinar
 
The Summer 2021 Webinar was held on Saturday, 12 June 2021. There were three very different sessions for members to join and each session was very well attended.

Very often, listening tasks in class are just a form of assessing language comprehension, or listening for listening’s sake to check it off our weekly learning outcomes. In this session, I aim to delve into developing our learners’ listening strategies and online tools to add variety to your lesson planning.

Aleksandar Mitovski:  Shortcuts for over-Zoomed teachers
 
Tired and uninspired to teach first thing Monday morning? Unsure how to tackle functional language in your online lessons? All of that AND you’re a bit over-Zoomed? I know how that feels! In that case, here’s a breakdown of two real lessons that incorporate functional language as the spice your speaking activities might need – while on Zoom or in person.

Core principles of Mindfulness are kindness and measured responses (instead of instinctive reactions) towards the self and others. Stressful times and difficult students make kind responses more challenging. In this hands-on workshop we will cultivate kindness during guided meditation practice and discuss activities that can be used in class. New to Mindfulness? Not to worry! We’ll cover the basics too!
