Workshop: Matt Done – Small Steps to Better Listening
Listening is a crucial skill for any language learner. Without the ability to listen well, learners will struggle to have conversations, understand TV and movies, follow lectures, etc. However, one issue with some classroom listening activities is that they focus mainly on testing our learners’ listening ability, but do little to actually develop and improve it. What, for instance, can we do when learners have not understood something in speech? How can we helpa them listen better? This session offered some possible answers to these important questions.3
